If you've already used your free default one code, then you get more in various ways.
1) Ask one of your LiveJournal friends, if you could use one of theirs. Please note, it might be useful if they know who you are. Please note that their supply is limited too.
2) Buy a paid account. Each month of Paid time you buy gets you 1 shiny invite code. You can get a paid account in many ways, and not just a credit card. If you live in the US and you have a cheque account, you can use that. Or you can just get a money order from various places. Or if you don't livein the US you can get a international money order!
3) Make an acknowledged contribution by Helping
4) Work in the support area! That's what I do to get codes. For every twenty points you earn in the Support Area you can get one invite code. If you choose to take this route, please note it can take weeks and weeks, maybe even months to get enough points just for one code. Also, if you're serious about volunteering you can read the Guide to volunteering. You'll also have to add lots of support related communities to your journal if you want to stay tip top fresh.
And if you can't fulfil any of those, well then, I guess you're stuck with that one code, which you've already used. *pets*
