It's beginning to look a lot like I am reasonably well-prepared for Christmas.
grysar and I finished decorating the Christmas tree last night. All we have to do now is set up the train, and decorating is finished. Despite getting a later start on decorating this year than we have in past years, we've actually ended up putting up more decorations. So this is partly a note to myself in future years that it's not about getting a super-early start but having fun when the time comes. (I was in a work-induced haze from after Thanksgiving to late last week, so this was not the year to be getting an early start on things.) I think I'll take pictures of everything because I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
Christmas shopping is mostly done, too. There's a few things still in transit that should arrive tomorrow, and I need to pick up a few gift cards (the perfect gift for older male relatives) and actual card cards, but that's easily manageable. My out-of-town relatives' cards will be a bit late this year, but they'll have been mailed before Christmas, so that counts, right? ;)
