Huh, so it's been a week since I last posted. Didn't mean to let it go that long, but things have been busy, what with wedding prep and moving
grysar's possessions from the apartment to the house and other things. It goes well. The two of us make a really good team when it comes to dividing responsibilities and getting things done, which bodes well for the future. ^_~
I am still trying to figure out the limits of my newly-fragile gall bladder. ^^; I'm not deliberately eating horrible things to discover what causes pain, but there are a few more things I'd like to try to see if I can handle them. Mostly I am erring on the side of caution, though I have discovered that too much chips and salsa = ow. Possibly other stuff with them caused it, but I think I can safely say that greasy tortilla chips should not be eaten. Everyday meals so far are fine.
Finally made it to a baseball game on Monday, after having missed one due to stomach flu and another due to rain. The Orioles actually won, which I'm not sure I've seen them do in a really long time. Not only that, but they gave up a grand total of one run, which is *really* rare.
For the first time since 1984, the same two teams are back in the Stanley Cup Finals. I told you Penguins fans last year that you had nothing to worry about. ^^ I'm a bit worried with all the injuries on the Red Wings' side. If they were at full strength, I'd say the teams would be fairly evenly matched, but with a lot of the better players out, the Pens have the advantage. This is not to say that the Wings can't rally - they have a lot of depth and are good at having their lower-tier players turn it up when needed - but it puts them at a disadvantage going in. Meanwhile, the Penguins are even better than they were last year, and they were certainly no pushover then. I can't be too disappointed if the Wings lose in the finals; we won last year and have done really well this season, with a good outlook for next season.
Logged onto Guild Wars the other night. I'm trying to take my Factions Monk through her insignia courses at the monestary. I'm having serious trouble with one of them. It's actually a Mesmer quest (from her secondary) on breaking enchantments. According to the wiki, the skill that the NPC you're fighting against uses has been buffed since its implementation, which makes it much harder to deal with now. I'm thinking that I'll just skip this one and come back to it later. I've already got the skill from it, and I don't think it's worth the frustration of trying for fifteen minutes and getting the opponent's life bar down to about 70%. I also made a Necromancer in Factions. The concept is creepy, but I liked having minions when I temporarily had the skills on my other characters. ^^; Besides, I may end up making one of everything to try eventually.
