glaucoma?

I finally got a good night's sleep last night with the aid of some children's Benadryl >_> grape flavor!

But I got woken up around 6:30am with some throbbing pain in my left eye. It feels ... strange. Like there's pressure behind the eye that's pulsating. I hope it's not glaucoma or something serious - got to see the optometrist sometime I guess. It's the 2nd night in a row that it's happened too. I have sleep issues.

When I wake up in the early mornings I can't go back to sleep. My mind just starts running through everything that I have to do that day - planning ahead and even planning mundane things like when to shower and which shampoo/conditioner to use that day and then thinking about what I did yesterday and what I can do tomorrow if I get done what I will do today. If you see me on gmail at 3am my time, it's cuz I have insomnia.

My new lab is so much fun! I was always good at organic chemistry lab stuff. It just comes really easily to me, it's common sense. I'm kept busy like all the time, which I much prefer to waiting for my stupid cells to grow to a certain "happiness" state and confluency. Generally the cells are ready at like, 2am on Saturday. But with things that aren't alive, you can work on them anytime you want. And once a rxn is done, it's done. It can sit for another 2 days and it's still done (as long as you keep the heat going and stuff).
