Today is one of those days which is being sucked away by the internet. So I thought I would update lj, which of course will help counter this significantly.
I've applied for a job working with cats, which I really hope works out as it would be ideal at 20 hours a week.
I have a proper membership at the studio now, so I am working alongside other artists every day and learning as I go along. There is a drawing tutor coming in every Friday now as well and I have already learned some useful techniques from him. I generally prefer pen but I hope to become more confident in pencil work.
I wanted some sort of ipod for while I'm working, and figured that as I hadn't bought a new phone in many, many years it was about time I upgraded anyway. So now I have a shiny new phone which does many wonderful things. I downloaded the G strings application today (steady on!). It's a guitar tuner app but works for flute and aural practice. I must refrain from using it at the studio though, else I shall be the cat woman no longer; I shall be the caterwauling woman who wails into her phone!
I guess I should go and show my face - and my new dark hair which I think makes me look younger. Or it could be that I just feel better without my tired grey roots on display, who knows? All I know is I'm smiling more today than yesterday.
