Mostly cats again I'm afraid!

I'm white as a sheet today; my skin is the same colour as Pete's, which must mean I'm near death or something!  Pete keeps asking me if I'm pregnant, the answer to which is 'no I'm not and you're definitely not helping!' (I mean with putting some colour back in my cheeks, just realised how that reads! LOL).

Our foster cat Chewy is doing well.  He lost weight the first day we had him but he has steadily put it back on.  Having done some research into common ailments in elderly cats I suspect he is diabetic; we have to take him to the vets this week anyway so we'll soon find out.  We have introduced him to Hulky on a few occcasions as the chances of rehoming a 14 year old scraggy cat are very slim and we will probably end up keeping him.  Hulky is not impressed.  However since the only territory Chewy wants is a lap, and Hulky wants everything but a lap, it may work out in the end.

We went to see a couple who have been fostering with NBCP for some time.  They have a beautiful mother cat and her four kittens at the moment, and the time just flew by.  I did a sketch for my SOFA portfolio whilst there (have joined as an associate member, need a portfolio to go for full membership).  They asked me to email a copy so they could frame it for visitors to see!  It was so nice of them to be supportive and encouraging.  They said I could come back and do some more anytime as they enjoyed watching the drawing take shape.  They have a pure bred Norwegian Forest Cat as well as their rescue intakes so I think I shall be taking them up on the offer - NFCs are my favourite breed. :)

Well, I have a flute lesson at 2 so I had better go and get ready.  TTFN.
