Happy days
Well we're up and about. I made mr_pete breakfast in bed and then he was ill. Oh. Hope it was last night's beverages and not my somewhat limited culinary skills. :(
I went to see Peggy Seeger last night with toxicpixie and his mom. Hadn't a clue what to expect but it was a very enjoyable evening, despite the room being overcrowded and sweltering hot. Saw Brian Daikin in the crowd but didn't get chance to speak to him (he writes poems and songs in Black country dialect, haven't seen him since I left Castle High); must get myself over to one of the comedy nights at the Lamp Tavern as I kind of miss hearing people talking that way. That's what I get for being with a southerner I guess. :)
Went to Malediction after, but aside from getting to speak to people (or shout at them rather, it being so loud your bones hurt) it was pants. I would say it's because I'm growing out of the goth thing, but as it was rave music for most of the time I was there...
Anyway, berley_girl and bright_raven came round Friday night. They came to borrow a sander and left five hours later. Then they bought a Wii. Even phaedra_bmd has a Mii character now (I was impressed with that one). Most fun (though I am having some difficulty beating Kim's score on the hula hoop). :D
Tis a lovely sunny day outside today. Pete's outside attacking the grass now he's recovered a bit - the whole lawn has gone wild in a matter of days. Seem to spend a lot of time just fighting back the wildness and not actually planting anything, but still it's better than it once was.
Best get outside and enjoy it then.
