Just Random Updates

Well, I'm on lunch break currently. Stopped at Jims to get a 6" Turkey sub and now I'm next door at Spot Relaxing. Kinda feels good to be sitting on this couch, as opposed to my chair at the office. Sorta wish I could just lay down and take a nap.

Oh...lets see. Well I guess our official move in date has changed from the end of July to the End of August. It's a bummer but becuase of the mistake made by our new landlord, hes cutting us a big break on first months rent. As he should because our current place is more than our new place and since Murrays not there anymore, Brent and I have to split a $985 rent between the both of us - Our new place is 900/month.

So for that difference and the inconvenince of it all, our new landlord is slashing half or more of first months rent. Still a little pissed off though because of the inconvenience, the extra money we have to fork out, and for the fact that I just want to move. I'm excited though; not for actually moving heavy stuff but for being in a new place, with a new room and different luxuries.

We are moving into someones condo down the street. Yeah its only down the street but the place is so much different than our current apartment. I'm pretty psyched about it because its gorgeous and I am going to feel at home and very comfortable. It will be more of a home than our current place now. Not that our current place is bad, its just that this new place feels more like a house rather than an apartment.

Ok...other updates....

Not really sure what to write here. Been kind of getting burnt out at work lately. Just haven't had the passion that I use to. I'm not saying that I'm not working hard, but its begining to not be as exciting anymore. The cut backs we've had have kinda killed my motivation and again, I have to sacrifice becuase of poor decisions made by the company...what gives!

With that said, I've been sorta scoping the market looking to see what kinds of jobs are out there. Not that I necessarily want to leave but I am getting tired of waiting for those good benefits I'm suppose to recieve once we 'get on our feet and start doing well.'

I guess theres a certain threshold we all hold. Mines getting there although I just got a dollar an hour raise which sorta helps my situation. It's ane extra 40 bucks a week and I guess I shouldn't complain but I was sorta hoping for more. Actually I'm suprised my boss gave it to me in a period where the company is down and not making a ton of money. I think he felt bad for putting even more work on me since we had to lay off one of the office managers. Because of that, I've had to take on her responsibilities other than my own.

A few months back Tony (my boss) said that if anybody was next in line for any big raises, it was me. I hope that 'big' raise wasn't my extra dollar an hour. And I hope it doesn't make him hold off on any other raises when we are doing well. I can just see it now - "I already gave you a raise of $1 in July" I wish I was more along the lines of $15-20. A big raise for me would be more than a dollar; it would be 3, 4, or 5 dollars more. Heck, I feel like I disserve it. I eat, sleep, and breathe FindRentals so why not.

Money isn't that important to me; I just need to be comfortable. Get the bills out of the way and have a little extra where I can either A) Save it or B) spend it on having a little fun. Shopping, Road trip, something. Some benefits would be nice too so all that extra money I'm making doesn't just go into some big fun for health, dental, car, and the bazillion other insurances you have to pay.

Money stresses me out big time and it always has. When I was having problems with credit cards years ago, it was like having a huge monkey on my back. Today it isn't as bad but I have some old shit I have to pay off, plus student loans. I know those mother fuckers are going to be on my back very soon if I don't start taking care of it. Add that to the fact that I now have to pay my own car insurance and now $ is getting extremely tight. I don't expect my stepdad to pay for my car insurance anyway but it did help when he was doing it. Now I feel like I'm in such a negative and its that feeling that stresses me out. The feeling of not knowing if you have enough money to pay your bills each week. The feeling of not knowing if you can afford to pay rent from month to month.

Mabye this is also a time where I should start budgeting better. I know I go out to eat a lot and go have fun with friends. Maybe I should cut that even more than what I have in the past. Seems like though, if you can't go out with your friends, you miss out on all the fun, all the activities, all the memories. Maybe I should just sit at home all day and be bored and be a loser.

Anyways, I've started to look for a second job and possibly see whats out there for a new job. I just don't want to be burdened with the stress associated with not having enough money. My job now has great potential but sometimes potential just doesn't cut it. I want to see money now, benefits now, I want to be happy now. That excitement and happy feeling has almost left me.

On another note, I've been extremely lonely lately. I don't know what it is but I'm in dire need of just having someone. Not desperate no...I Just want someone close. Yeah yeah I'm getting in touch with my feminine side here but seriously, I'm tired of just trying to please myself (no not that way); I just want someone in my life who I can talk to, be close with, go and see, and be physical with. I miss the feelings of having someone to care about and someone to care about you.

Bah, maybe I'm just a little down. Luckilly I'm an optimist and theres always a light at the end of the tunnel
