Go ahead just leave, can't hold you, you're free
You take all these things, if they mean so much to you
I gave you your dreams, 'cause you meant the world
So did I deserve to be left here hurt
You think I don't know you're out of control
I ended up finding all of this from my boys
*Boy*, you're stone cold, you say it ain't so,
You already know I'm not attached to material
"I talked to Monica yesterday. She said Junsu is having the time of his life, I forget what city they're in now, but she said Junsu was getting a lot of attention from some very pretty girls."
Yoochun frowned.
"I say, good for him. He's always complaining to me how people only want him for his ass, so maybe some of these foreign girls will like him for other things, you know what I mean?"
Yoochun forced a chuckle, "hey, jaejoong, I have to go. I'll see you on Thursday for breakfast, ok? Good luck with filming."
"Ah, araso*, you too Yoochun-ah, bye."
"Bye, hyung."
Yoochun took a drink of the chocolate milk Yoohwan had set out with his breakfast before heading out. His baby brother had come running when Yoochun had complained he was lonely, but even Yoohwan couldn't stay with him all the time. He was an actor now, an entertainer trying to make a name for himself to show the world he wasn't just Park Yoochun's little brother.
He used his fork to play with the scrambled eggs on his plate, forcing the shapeless mass into a crooked smile.
His phone beeped.
A text message.
He hasn't called?
Yoochun sighed as he replied, not once.
Another beep.
Want to meet up?
Yoochun smiled, something soft and heartfelt, you know that's impossible right now.
Beep.
But it made you smile, didn't it?
Yoochun rolled his eyes.
Beep.
If it counts for anything, I miss you.
Thanks, Yunho hyung.
I'm holding' on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
And I'm hearin' what you say,
But I just can't make a sound.
You tell me that you need me,
Then you go and cut me down…
But wait…
You tell me that you're sorry,
Didn't think I'd turn around…
And say…
'He came back last week, but he's leaving again tomorrow.'
'You didn't know?'
'He said he was meeting up with Jaejoong yesterday, so I thought you would be there too.'
Yoochun stopped just in front of the door to Junsu's apartment. He pulled out his phone and dialed the number he knew by heart.
"HAHAHAHA STOP IT!!!"
Yoochun's eyes widened, the shrill girlish squeal was definitely not what he'd expected.
"Stop!! Junsu, stop it! No, babe, just come here so I can kiss you the way you like."
Yoochun hung up.
I'd take another chance,
Take a fall, take a shot for you.
I need you like a heart needs a beat,
But it's nothing' new, yeah!
I loved you with a fire red,
Now it's turnin' blue…
And you say…
Sorry, like an angel
Heaven let me think was you…
But I'm afraid…
"Oh! Yoochun! Wait!"
Yoochun stopped, he almost didn't want to turn around.
Junsu's manager was digging thru a backpack. "Junsu, wanted me to give this to you." He handed over a palm sized purple package with a white bow.
A set of keys.
"It's for the audi out front."
Yoochun blinked, his mind had easily caught on, but his heart was painfully fighting to ignore the truth. "The what?"
"The black audi, it's yours, a present from Junsu for your birthday. A gift and an apology in one is what he said, that boy, I swear. He's always causing trouble."
An apology…
Yoochun stuffed the keys back into the decorative box and walked out of the building.
What did I do but give love to you
I'm just confused as I stand here and look at you
From head to feet, all that's not me
Go 'head, keep the keys, that's not what I need from you
You think that you know (I do), you've made yourself cold (oh yeah)
How could you believe them over me, I'm your *boy*
You're out of control (so what?), how could you let go (Oh yeah)
Don't you know I'm not attached to material
Yoochun threw the keys at Junsu's feet. He didn't care that the missed hitting the blonde, and slid under the coffee table. The one they'd bought together last winter when Yoochun had gotten tired of watching Junsu trip over his old one.
Junsu stepped back, wary of the tears shinning in Yoochun's eyes and the way he seemed to be trying to hold himself back from doing something worse than throwing keys.
"Why are you so mad? What happened? Did something happen with the drama?"
Yoochun laughed, "nothing's wrong at all. I'm perfectly fine. It's you that seems to have lost a screw somewhere between Seoul and the rest of the world."
Junsu flinched, "I apologized, didn't I? Didn't you see manager hyung at the office? I bought you that car you wanted. Was it the wrong color? Damn it, I knew I should've gone with white." He looked around him, hands digging into his pockets in search of his phone.
"I can't understand that logic at all."
"Just give me a second, I'll call and have them bring over a white one."
"What are you thinking, Kim Junsu?"
Junsu stopped, hands falling to his sides. "I'm trying to fix this," he whispered, unable to look at Yoochun.
"You want to fix this? What is it you're trying to fix exactly? You think buying me a car is going to make up for hearing my boyfriend with some whore?!"
Junsu took a step forward, his phone was dead in his clenched hand. "Yoochun, please. I can fix this..."
Yoochun took a step back the closer Junsu tried to get. "Do you even love me any more?"
When Junsu hesitates, Yoochun holds up a hand to quiet him.
"That's enough, I don't want to hear any more." Yoochun smiles then, it's painful to look at because it's obviously strained.
It's a reminder to Junsu that this smile is one he's never seen until now.
The smile has caused the tears in Yoochun's eyes to spill over his cheeks, giving the anger rosed skin a sheen that was both beautiful and painful to see.
"Let's not let this ruin what we have as a group." Yoochun walked to the door. " Give me some time."
"Yoochun-
"Give me some time."
"..."
"We'll go back to how it was before."
Junsu felt foolish at the small pang of hope.
"Yes, before whatever this was happened."
He left.
Junsu stood in front of the window. The setting sun just beyond the window pain was blinding is what he told himself as the tears began to fall.
Blindingly beautiful, just like the first time Yoochun had smiled at him.
I'd give it all up but I'm taken' back my love
I'm taken' back my love, I'm taking back my love
I'd given you too much but I'm taken' back my love
I'm taken' back my love, my love, my love
