Explain your LiveJournal name and its meaning.

Many years ago, back when I was in 9th grade, and I first started using the intar-web with regularity for things, one of the first things I was introduced to by my friends was a "MUD", or Multi-User Dungeon. Imagine world of warcraft only instead of cool graphics, the game is run entirely with text descriptions and ascii graphics. However, being new to both online games and the "MUD" brower (basically internet explorer for MUD games) I wasn't really familiar with how things worked. When I first started playing, I actually had to make a new character every single time I logged on. It was very annoying. Somehow, every time I logged on, my password kept getting getting denied. Eventually, after much trial and error and consulting my more comp-sci oriented friends, I discovered that the browser automatically created and loaded a script to auto log you in to your last character every time you opened the browser, so by actually trying to manually log in while the script was running, my username and password wound up being doubled up (so my username wound up being entered as "usernameusername" and my password was entered as "passwordpassword") and therefore not recognized by the game. I went through approximately 20 characters in this very irritating manner, playing for a few hours and starting to get him developed and then logging out only to find all my work was now unable to be retrieved. Kalysto was the wizard character I had started at the point I figured this out and actually managed to play for quite some time before realizing that I didn't have the time or inclination to really continue with the game. 7/27 is my birthday and I added it on because apparently the name "kalysto" is not really an uncommon name online since it is, I have since discovered, a female Greek name, although I really don't generally run into people that know that online or try to hit on me, much to my relief.

I'm not tagging anyone since I'm a rebel. So there. Take that Mr. "The Man", if that is your real name.
