Update on Lancs v Notts: We won!
Still behind on everything - in case anyone's wondering why I'm ignoring them, I've about four weeks' backlog of LJ and DW which I do hope to catch up with soon...
But quickly, to complete Sunday's report, here are a few pics of Lancashire's victory over Nottinghamshire in their opening Championship match of 2016. As Lancashire needed only 86 to win, I nipped up to Old Trafford to watch the run-chase, which was successfully completed in 75 minutes (so well before lunch!)
Stuart Broad bowls to Luke Procter
I was sitting round about cover, for once, so was back to the old sideways-on view of the pitch which we used to get from the pavilion, which means everything looks very small and far away. Here's the same shot of Broad bowling to Alviro Petersen, gradually closing in.
And here Procter, who has just completed victory with a six, and Petersen leave the pitch with their mission accomplished, followed by Nottinghamshire and the umpires.
