The Conquering Hero in Bristol

Oct 06, 2014 16:10

I'm not sure whether this will be relevant to anybody still around here, but we have discovered that there is a production of my grandfather's First World War play The Conquering Hero on at the University of Bristol this week. It's described as fully staged but script in hand, ie they'll be reading rather than relying on memory for their lines. It runs from tonight until Sunday afternoon, when (subject to Tabitha's health, which currently seems stable but we have to see whether she'll accept steroid tablets in her food) I have just been engaged to join a post-show discussion. Not much idea of what I might say, as I missed the premiere in 1923, but I may be saved by the taxi as I have to catch the last train at 19.30.
