The Flying Duckmen
The Times is holding my attention this week. Yesterday, the story of a fleet of plastic ducks endlessly sailing the oceans since escaping from a cargo ship in a storm in 1992. Judging by the final para, I should have heard of them before, but, in case there are others still in ignorance, I thought I would share (especially with legionseagle). Note that, despite the illustration, the ducks are now bleached white by sun and seawater. Which reminds me of the long-running mystery: why are non-seagoing plastic ducks invariably yellow?
