Introductions Are In Order

I do suppose that's true.

You can call my Kalylia. That's the name I've adopted pretty much everywhere on the internet over the past couple years. I'll answer to a number of things. Kaly, Lylia... My real name is Nateal, so I of course answer to that as well. (And, subsequently, Nat.) You'll have to forgive my rambling. It's rather late and I'm recovering from a stomach virus.

I live in Fargo, ND, though I prefer to think of it as American Hoth. Living with me are my husband and our dog and cat. Antilles, our Shetland Sheepdog, is a fluffy ball of energy. Shango, our unidentified breed rescue cat, is a Sith Lord trapped in a feline body - though after nearly five years he finally seems to be coming around.

I'm a massive geek! Legitimately. I spend the vast majority of my time reading fantasy and science fiction novels, watching anime, and playing video games. I suppose I could list a bunch of my favorites. ^.^7

The big reason I've started this particular journal is so I have a place to be 100% me. That includes a lot of things - I can be a bit complicated. But since I started writing for a bigger geek site, I sort of left my old blog behind. Not to mention an LJ seems like a better place to sort of spout the occasional nonsense post. I chose LiveJournal over other journaling sites because I sincerely hope there is still a large furry community out here. I've had trouble connecting with others in the fandom over the past months I've actually been actively trying to make those connections. I feel like part of that is because I'm not an artist in any capacity.

So I guess I'm a bit nervous to be putting myself out there like this. Hopefully, I'll start making some fuzzy (or scaly) friends.
