Strange...
... but true - I seem to really be enjoying my social media at the moment!
Facebook, Twitter and LiveJournal again - each one I've been using for different things, and enjoying in their own rights! This surprises me, though I'm not quite sure why. I can see how people get addicted to it though - it really does make you feel like you've got a bigger social circle; like you've got friends there for you. Just... knowing what's going on with people, offering advice or sympathy or even just humourous comments, makes you feel... connected, to people, instead of alone.
Sometimes a night can feel lonely, even when sharing your bed with the person you love most - I think that's just part of human nature. But seeing a reply to a text, or a post, or something like that - even just a little thing but directed at YOU - can ease that somewhat. Why, I don't know.
But it does.
I'm glad I returned to LJ - sometimes it's just nice to get these random thoughts down - and who knows? Maybe someone else will identify with it, and go "hey - me too!". If so, then to you I say this:
You are not alone.
