Today was summer in all its glory. I was fortunate enough to spend most of the day with 3 other lovely ladies. We picked organic raspberries, jumped into Lake Whatcom to wash all the sweat and red-stains from our bodies, and enjoyed a nice lunch. I now have 9 pounds of raspberries in my fridge, though I may have made a dent in them already. I plan of freezing some, jamming some, and snacking on the rest.

My days catch.
Libby is happy and she should be! She picked 17 pounds! That girl is a berry picking champ.
This is Snickers, Libby's cat. She is 20 years old! She sleeps a lot and is the sweetest kitty.
Tonight I took the pups out for exercise/fun time and wow, what a night! Beautiful clouds, sunset, and warm summery fresh breeze. The weather seemed on the brink of a thunderstorm and reminded me of warm, stormy nights growing up. I love walking at this time of night (just after sunset) as I get to hear dishes and glasses clinking, laughter, and music flowing through open windows. It is good to be alive.
