I'm on day six of a three to four week elimination diet. I'm doing this to help figure out if my cause of eczema is a food allergy.
What I've eliminated from my diet:
-Gluten
-Dairy
-Eggs
-Citrus
-White, refined sugar
-Coffee
-Alcohol
-Corn
It has been challenging, but I've been cooking and baking a lot of new recipes. Gluten-free bread isn't my favorite. I miss my homemade whole-wheat ones. I've been eating a lot of fruit, veggies, legumes, and rice. I haven't been eating out, because it is kind of impossible for me.
Since Sunday I haven't needed to use my prescription steroid cream as my eczema has significantly cleared up, which is the longest I've gone not using it. I'm also using an herbal antifungal cream, taking probiotics, and upping my omega 3 oil intake significantly, so that may be helping it all by itself (which I'm secretly hoping because that would mean I could eat everything up on that list!). But, I'm ready to go all out and get rid of it.
Breakfast today:
Fruit bowl: plum, peach, almonds, and fresh strawberries (from my garden). Oatmeal topped with real maple syrup and dried cranberries. Oh, and green tea of course!
