The weather has been fantastic the past couple of days. I got out in my garden yesterday and settled a few new plants into a new home and cleaned up some permanent residents. I divided a few bulbs and trimmed some ornamental grasses. Sadly, the dogs did kill a few plants this winter, but in the past, I've thought some were goners and once summer hit, they came back strong. I suppose only time will tell. I realized my garden and yard would look fabulous if I didn't have any pups ruining it, but I love animals too much. The garden will have to suffer!
I did some Spring cleaning, though technically it isn't Spring yet. The weather is just fooling me. It felt good and I enjoyed the warmth flooding through the windows as I worked. So did my houseplants and the dogs.
So, I'm in LOVE with nutella. I love dipping apples in it, spreading it over warm bread, making the infamous nutella, apple, cheese, and salami sandwich on a fresh baguette. Anyways, I started making it from scratch (which is fairly easy). And it is so worth it! Way better-so much more flavor and no artificial stuff like in the store-bought one. Yum!
ps-I've been caught up in the recent "Twilight" phenomenon, as embarrassing as that is to say. I'm about to finish book 3 of the 4 book "saga" as they call it. Obviously this is young adult fiction, so the writing isn't spectacular and mind blowing, but at the end of a long day, I do love sinking into the fairy tale soap opera. It's my current guilty pleasure.
