Dear God,
I keep forgetting, so could you please help me to remember: the point is to do what you've told me to do, not to get props for doing what you've told me to do. If I have to listen to myself whine, "But what if nobody notices my huge, amazing sacrifiiiiice?" one more time, I may gag. Especially since the huge, amazing sacrifice in question is usually not all that huge or amazing.
