This meme has been making the rounds and it fills me with glee because I love icons. Love. I love my own, I love other people's, I love the clever and the beautiful and the silly. I love them all. I have several icon comms on my "watch" list even though I'm highly unlikely to actually take any of the icons on offer just because I love staring at the little darlings. So! Here's the Icon Oscars as I would award them to my own icons:

ARE YOUR ICONS MADE MOSTLY BY OTHER PEOPLE: Quite a few are my own, but I probably have slightly more by others.

ARE THEY ANY GOOD: Sometimes.
ANIMATED ICONS ARE: Awesome. But it's possible for them to be really annoying, so I try to avoid the extremely seizure-inducing ones.
