We belong to the light, we belong to the thunder
1. Not enough sleep + too much sugar = zombie!Marie. (This is not actually news, but I seem to have forgotten about this fact over the weekend, so.)
2. I have reader's ADD right now. Books that I am currently in the process of reading: The Fifth Elephant by Terry Pratchett, Mystery and Manners by Flannery O'Connor, The Ironic Christian's Companion by Patrick Henry, Alternate Gettysburgs edited by Martin Greenburg. I'm dividing my fic-reading time between Walked Right Out of the Machinery (yeah, I'm kind of behind the times, aren't I?) and The Crow on the Cradle, both of which are very good but rather weighty in completely different ways, so I'm also flitting off to read humorous one-shots now and again. Too many stories at once! Brain cannot cope!
3. I am bad at the cash register. Just so you know. I'm getting better at remembering where the bookstore's sections are, though.
4. Sam-I-Am got me a ceramic penguin penny bank and left it on my desk with a note that says "good with lasers." It's possible that she knows me too well. I may have to have her killed.
