Quilling!
Okay, I really hate my quilling icon, now, I need to make a new one.
Yes, it's another quilling post. For those just joining us, this is the part of the show where I make you look at pictures of my OCD hobby, or rather, the results thereof.
Yet another Weird Tree. This one's my favorite of the ones I've made so far.
My glue work is getting better, as evidenced by the fact that you can't see any messy puddles of it in this shot. Also, I like the tree-trunk I did, here. i think I'm going to do them all like this from now on.
Our kitchen is a very nice place in person, but in pictures it comes out very orange. These cards are pink, not a weird salmon color, just for the record.
Gotta have a few glory shots...
I made a little origami box for practice, and then I made some leaf/petal shapes out of the spiffy glistening strips Mr. Bill got me to see how they handled (as it turns out: not well, but they're shiny, so I'm calling it a wash). I figured I might as well decorate the one with the other, so...small box with random flower ornament thing?
I'm definitely doing this again when I'm actually paying attention. The flower came out lopsided since I didn't bother to make sure there was some sort of mathematical progression to how many petals were in each layer. Still, kind of a cool effect, no?
I had some pictures of the bazillion little white flowers that I made when they were all pinned down after I glued them together, and it was a really cool visual of how incredibly fiddly I am willing to get for this hobby...but it looks like those pictures got deleted off the camera. Oops. This is what I get for leaving them on there for ages.
