In which Sam works in not one but two movie refs first thing in the morning
Early this morning, at work...
SAM: Why do we even HAVE that lever?
ME: *snort* What did you do?
SAM: I just had the most cinematic moment in my life.
ME: More cinematic than that time when you fell down those stairs?
SAM: Yes. I got in the elevator and I accidentally pushed the button for the fifth floor, so when it opened on the fifth floor, I hit the "door closed" button and nothing happened.
ME: Okay...
SAM: What is it there for if it doesn't make the doors close? What if I was being shot at? I didn't have the Declaration of Independence to hold in front of me!
ME: Well, I guess it's lucky no one was trying to shoot you at the time.
SAM: Because if they had been, I'd be dead!
