You know the drill

Running: The Hill continues to defeat me. This may have something to do with the fact that since getting healthy enough to run again, I've done so maybe twice. *smacks self on wrist* Life keeps thwarting my attempts to become awesome.

Chess: Hadn't played or studied in weeks and weeks, so I was expecting Mr. Bill to beat me pretty handily yesterday. I wasn't expecting his decisive victory to take place within the first twenty moves. *headdesk* I am such a loser.

Choir: We were more prepared for Holy Week than I gave us credit for. No really horrendous missteps, and while we certainly weren't in tip-top form, we weren't bad, either. I sort of made up my own words on one of our Easter anthems, but apart from that I felt like I acquitted myself fairly well. Got lots of compliments from the congregation after Easter mass, so we must have done something right. My vocal chords are so tired, now.

Fashion: My fantastic new shoes are quite comfy for heels, but I just know I'm going to break my ankle learning how to walk in them. After a winter spent in boots with s shorter, more substantial heel, the long, skinny heel is a lot less support than I'm used to. On the upside, I've already gotten a half dozen compliments on them, and I must agree, in all objectivity, that they make me look smashing.

The usual plea: Very little LJ time this weekend, so comment with a link if I missed anything! I may be a little non-present for the next few days while I overdose on fanfic (because I can! Lent is over! Huzzah!).

Speaking of which: If any of you lovely authors would like to point me in the general direction of fic that I missed in the past couple months, definitely feel free!
