Dear LJ Fairy:
Anyone out there a veteran of purchasing glasses (specifically frames) online? I need a new set of back-up glasses, and all the frames on offer at my optometrist's office are so expensive (at least for me...remember, I'm cheap). I didn't mind paying rather a lot for my Grace Kelly glasses, but I balk at doling out a similar amount for spares that I'm not planning to wear much.
So...any ideas on where to find passable frames for cheap online? I may just end up going to Costco and getting a pair, but shopping online would save me an errand and get me new glasses sooner (I can't get new lenses in the Grace Kelly glasses updated until I have a set of spares to wear, but free time for errands is at something of a premium in the next few weeks).
