my secondary fandom after Hercules: The Legendary Journey
I got into such a habit of not posting about how Arthur/Eames was my main fandom for A YEAR that I forgot Professor X/Magneto isn't embarrassing, so here's a list of the WIPs I have in my tab groups right now.
The Courtship of Francine and Mr. Lehmanbot - This is set hundreds of years in the future and it's an arranged marriage but also Charles and Erik are reincarnated? Real talk: I was more into the summary than the version that ended up getting written and I was more into THAT before Charles has been in a coma for the last, like, thirty-five parts, get it together Charles.
(To Me) You're Strange and You're Beautiful - Charles is an ugly kid who is bffs with Erik and pines for him but then he grows up super foxy and Erik is very attracted to him but Charles can't quite figure it out. Sooo many misunderstandings. Soooooooo many unreliable narrators who are clueless about everything. This is like my id puked on a page.
Charles's Killer 'Verse - Serial killer AU where Charles is the detective on the case and Erik is the killer who gets fixated on Charles. THE OPPOSITE of what I should be into and I have no idea why it is working for me so goddamn hard but it really, really is, and also it's way less fucked up than that premise would imply. The scene where Charles first sees Erik's face = MY DREAMS.
Your Baby is My Supermagnet (My Baby is Your Drug) - HOOOOLY GOD. Do you see that fic title? Let me add two words: double mpreg. If you only follow one of the WIPs in this post, MAKE IT THIS ONE. I can't get into all the magical details of this without spoiling the shit out of it but let me tell you that it is worthy of your time.
Paper Monsters - Erik is Charles's reclusive favorite author. I have zero sympathy for Erik's problems at this point in this fic. Look Erik if you didn't want Charles to think you were a weirdo you should NOT HAVE LET THINGS GET TO THIS POINT. Stop bringing yourself up when you already know he's going to be defensive about how great you are, it is starting to look like begging for compliments. Get your act together Erik.
Late Bloomer - FLAWLESS. High school AU where Erik is a mutant supremacist and Charles is a human OR IS HE??!?!?! (He's not.) Basically the best because of how much of it is Erik POV meditating on Charles's perfection.
Judging A Book By the Wrong Cover - Easy A AU. It's not that this is flawless it's just that I am incredibly on board with the concept.
Second tab group that is updated less often/could be abandoned:
Somebody Break My Heart, Somebody Shake My Brains - Band AU. Not too much to say about this one except that there is some he doesn't love me (secretly he does) bullshit which is my theme song, obvs.
Limited Release - Everyone knows the White Collar AU is fantastic, right? Out of all the WIPs I follow this is the one where I'm like, I guarantee I know this author and have read her fic in whatever fandom she wrote in at some point. Like, probably her Gundam Wing fic. I have probably read her Gundam Wing fic. I sometimes am desperate enough to read Gundam Wing even though I have no clue who the characters are/what is happening, fun facts for friendly folks
In Servo Necessitas - UGHHHHHHH THIS NEEDS TO BE UPDATED ONCE AN HOUR. Erik is insanely attracted to Charles the sex slave but he cannot touch him because of his HONOR and in the night Charles touches his arm or something and Erik almost stabs him to death and then flips out about how unworthy of love he is/how beautiful Charles is in the gentle morning light, and Charles gets a boner. LIVING FOR IT.
Wages - Regency AU dubcon. LIVING FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might love this more than the slavefic AU I just talked about. Charles loses a bet and has to spend a night with Erik. Ughhh this couldn't be better for me if it was being written by my own vagina. If this does not finish soon I will cry a river. THIS IS SECRETLY FINISHED AND I'M AN IDIOT!!! LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH
Charlotte Francine Xavier - Enough said. I would read 10000000 more always-a-girl AUs in this fandom than have been written. I would read an always-a-girl AU every day of the week.
