Ahh I remember reading this on seoulfulness a while ago and loving it. I go back and forth on Minho/Key, I really like their dynamic but sometimes it veers into darker territory and I'm always 50/50 on those. You portray them really well here though, really realistically and refreshingly. I love this fic T_T I love their mutual stubbornness, Minho's competitive edge, Key's assertiveness. wah I just want to drink this up, I've missed reading SHINee fic so much.

Minho turns around and catches Kibum by the wrist, pulling him back sharply towards his chest. "Would you prefer that?" Minho questions, his voice low and gravelly.

This is my favorite line/scene!! Uh, not only for the h/t to Jonghyun/Key but omg what a delicious nod to Minho's competitiveness. plz write more SHINee (and/or Infinite), I will be forever grateful n____n

aaah, fellow seoulfulness lurker! i think i get what you mean about being 50/50 about minho/key in darker territory. because when it is darker, sometimes it kind of tends to take away from their semi-awkward love-hate dynamic, which is what makes them my otp u_u ALL I WANT IS TSUNDERE KEY (kidding! sort of).

i'm really glad you enjoyed this, and especially found it realistic! since i really admire the realism you put into your key-centric fic, and i only wish i could nail it like you do. you should write more shinee fic! i will die of happiness. also, if you ever decide to take a stab at writing infinite fic, i will be your biggest fan and be the first to comment on all of them!

sigh all I can do now is lurk - idk how to navigate fandom at all anymore! Also what I want out of my fandom experience is to read/write fic and it won't come ;_; and yeah, exactly - I like Minho/Key for that reason, and I think the mutual teasing is so so so qt but there's too much possibility for unhappiness. omg I want more tsundere Key T_T pls write more shinee/infinite fic T__T

lmao our circle of pleading T___T the same goes for you, if you write more shinee or infinite (and I would say EXO but unfortunately I don't know much about them u___u) fic I will be here with balloons and fanchants. And seriously thank you for writing this! AUs are lovely and all but I wish fandom had a few more canon fics like this.

that's my ideal fandom experience too! u_u reading/writing/spazzing. but like, fandom is a lot more quieter these days for some reason. i blame the fact everyone who's everyone is stanning/writing for exo these days. hehe, i really love minkey, because i loved watching their progression from awkward to perpetual push-pull but still sort of awkward, heh. so i wish that more of fandom banked in on that aspect of them. EMBRACE THEIR SLIGHT AWKWARD.

ia, ia. i especially really thirst for a nice, long, canon fic ;~; no one has the patience to write those anymore /sob/ loool. exo doesn't need me to write them, they have more than half of the k-pop fandom. i stalk dashidorawa almost every day, so when your first infinite fic comes, i will screech. what do you ship from infinite btw? have any fic feels for any pairings yet?

aaah, yeah my journal was acting wonky :/ but no i got the comment!

nooo, don't feel creepy! honestly, i really wish that comm hadn't closed down ): you should have been around whilst it was active, i had such a great time on it! it was really fun, and the meta was so delicious. i'm holding out for it to regain activity once again since infinite is making their comeback now. for exo, i'm still into them, but not as much as i was before? i can only live off fancams for so long >.<" i think minho/key are a heaps closer now than they were before, so i find it a bit strange that some of the best minkey fics were written back when all they had was a non-relationship. not complaining tho ( ... )

Ahh I wish I had been! I guess in my kpop fandom career, I mostly went after the obvious popular groups//I've never been too good at juggling a lot of groups at once. I'm glad that I got into Infinite around Man in Love! It's such a catchy song/the promos are so so so so qt. Because while I liked The Chaser, I think Man in Love is.... catchier....???? but also quite possibly unpopular opinion bc I'm tone deaf u__u and screams EXO fandom really is all about the fancams, isn't it T_T I have a friend who's rly into EXO and she is forever sending me things like "LOOK HOW QT THIS IS" and it's like... luhan and chanyeol's shadows behind a screen.......... Haha I do wonder about that! But I guess in general SHINee fandom is slower w/r/t fanworks rn :( I think I was around for that big Minkey boom! It was like 2010-ish with like satinsleeves, scarletribbon, etc? shinee fic pls come back ( ... )

oooh, don't worry. same here. i was ALL ABOUT sm groups. snsd and dbsk were my firsts <3 i'm a lot more diverse with my stanning now than i was before (though maybe back then there wasn't as many groups to actually stan?). man in love is... okay, lol. it reminds me of their early debut stuff. my favourite song of theirs will always be paradise :3 so i think i expected something like that. regardless, it's nice to see them promote together as a group after all those unit promos. LOL IT REALLY IS. IT'S SO HARD STANNING EXO. we live off fancams and fanaccounts -- especially when it comes to k. m is luckier in that we have a lot more to work off. yes yes! i loved satinsleeves, i was so sad when she deleted all her fics :C there was also closeta, phasera, black_goose. once upon a time shinee was the exo of fandoms, and they had the best fics in the world ( ... )

omg that's so true though - I watched a video compilation of all the groups that debuted in 2012 and I think I only recognized like 1/4 of them? Also I think the other song that I really noticed about Infinite was BTD. I seriously thought the scorpion dance was SO cool lol T_T and oh yeah! I watched a few M interviews/appearances when they first debuted. I was really excited/thought I would get into them because I thought it'd be so perfect! I could like exo AND practice my Chinese at the same time! Unfortunately, neither of those things happened u__u omg you're bringing me back, I'd forgotten about that period of shinee fic. Sigh ( ... )
