(no subject)
I am back, and can safely say that the last week has been on of the most disasterous holidays that I have ever been on. Events are as follows:
~ My luggage got stolen from the train, so I have no clothes. At all. I am dreadfully disorganised when it comes to packing, and threw pretty much everything I own into my suitcase. So... I have lost everything, with very little chance of ever getting it back. *wails softly*
~ During his first ever sail, the mast fell down and narrowly missed killing The Boyfriend. He now thinks that I am insane for voluntarily putting my life at risk, despite my insistence that it really doesn't happen all that often.
~ It rained most of the time.
~ The performance at The Minnack Theatre - an open air theatre near Land's End - was cancelled. This performance being the main reason for my going to Cornwall. The aforementioned rain caused one of the walls to start collapsing, so they were forced to close the theatre in order to fix it up.
~ The Boyfriend screwed up his exams, has been rejected from university, and has to come back to college for another year. He's also ill, and so has gone into total decline. (Attempts to cheer him up by pointing out that this means that he gets to spend another whole year at college with me fell rather flat, mainly because I started saying things like, "Homework sessions!" and he told me that I was a geek.) (Which, admittedly, I am rather.)
However, to cancel out the misery above:
~ I also got my exam results, and (despite that fact that I honestly thought that I had mucked up at least two of my subjects)... got four As!
~ That's an A in every subject, by the way.
~ That's the whole 100% in four out of my ten exams.
~ Did I mention that I got four As?
*happy dances*
