Luckily, this year, I only have to suffer the torture of performing in one Christmas concert, and that is now over. I managed to play fairly (schnapps to the new flute...hereby named Patrick), and did not utterly screw up the sections when you could actually hear me playing. The head of the music centre introduced us by the wrong name, and seemed utterly oblivious to her mistake, but that is not the sort of thing that I mind, and it was rather funny by the time that she referred to us at the regional Orchestra for the eighth time.

I managed to keep an almost straight face throughout the entire concert, except for the bits when I was allowed to smile (i.e. doing the actions to 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'), and one incident of Loud Snorting when the Primary Schools Choir started singing about the Virgin Womb. Surely it is wrong for eight-year-olds to be singing about this sort of thing? But then, I had doubts whether they knew what they were singing, anyway. Some of them had definitely dozed off under the hot lights.

I seem to have somehow been coerced into going in to college at 7:30 tomorrow morning, in order to queue up for tickets for the Dublin Trip, which is highly educational, and seems to involve visiting the Guinness factory, and much dancing. All connected to Politics, of course.
