In a week and 12 hours, I'll be sitting in class. Fuckityfuckfuckfuck. I've still got 3 books to read and notes to take a bit of APUSH work to do. asdklfjsakjdfkjasdf Damn my procrastination and lack of willpower.
But anyway, I had TPP (our school newspaper) thing last week, and it was cool. and I got to help out on Thursday for Club Jamboree for Anime Club. Club Jamboree is an awesome event that takes place every year on a Wednesday of (Freshman) Cardinal Camp. All the freshman at the camp go upstairs where most of the clubs in our school set up booths and posters and try to get the freshman to join with cookies and brownies and candy and other such sweets. Sadly, that was the first day of Ramadan, so I was fasting, so I couldn't eat or drink, so I died surrounded by delicious things I couldn't have right then. But anyway, it was fun. And some recently graduated people (and Anime Club's '08-'09 VP who graduated that year) stopped by either to help some clubs or just chill and make things (even more) interesting. Definitely going back next year.
I finally got Google Chrome again like I planned to when I first got this computer 1 year and almost half ago. Success.
And today, I went to the movies with Diana H., Arnel, Cristina, and Jeo. We watched Step Up 3D (because Diana wanted to) and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (because everyone but Diana wanted to). Step Up 3D has some awesome dancing and stuff but it was still meh. Also, headache (damned 3D). Cristina had to leave after that for a soccer game. Scott Pilgrim was super bitchin' awesome fuck yeah. Diana pretty much hated it ha. "Threshold" by Sex Bob-omb is stuck in my head and reminding me that I should get the soundtrack... when I have some money. $1 in my wallet (and $5.50 in change (and $1.83 in pennies)).
ELLIOT OWES ME $10. and he's mad that I went to see Scott Pilgrim without him >.>
Textbooks and schedules and stuff tomorrow. Technically, lockers too but I got that on Friday so I could actually get a top locker on the first floor... shhhh. >.>
I've discovered of Montreal. I'd heard one of their songs ("For Our Elegant Caste") a few months ago when someone mentioned it, but now I've listened to all of their album Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? and their EP Icons, Abstract Thee. Icons and the first half of Hissing Fauna are so. Beautifully. Depressing. The second half of Hissing Fauna makes me dance a bit. Gonna go listen to Skeletal Lamping now. And then maybe listen to it as I read my summer reading books or something.
Seriously. I need to work. I am going to fail the first six weeks if I don't do this. I have to keep my grades up to stay in Bellaire's magnet program. I'm gonna get kicked out of the school and have to go to Lee where they have year-round school now and I'll have to start school a week earlier than the rest of HISD. I have to do this now or be tortured attempting to bring my English grade up the rest of the semester. Keeping my English grades up is hard enough without having to make up for crappy or non-existent summer homework all because I couldn't get myself to read three damned books and do theme journals because I'm too lazy and don't have enough will power to get off the computer or stop watching TV and stop playing games or stop texting or stop staring at the ceiling in a horribly failed attempt to focus.
See how I'm trying to motivate myself? It's not working.
