I read it. Breaking Dawn has been finished. It's the end of another era. And no, I'm not one of those SUPER annoying fans who started reading the books two weeks ago and now claim to be the BIGGEST FAN EVAR H'OMG. Those people irritate the shit out of me.
Anyways.
Basically... It's AWESOME!
Can I just say that Emmett is the biggest piece of win EVER? That totally doesn't even make sense. But he just cracks me up. All those sexual jokes. I LOVED IT.
I totally called what Alice was doing. Not the part about hiding because of herself, but I was like, oooh, snap. Alice is gonna save the day.
Also. I didn't want to punch Bella in the face as much this time around. Jacob.... mehhh. I don't hate him, but really? Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it. JEEBUSS. That was ridiculous.
And hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa because WHAT THE HELL is UP with the fuckin' Loch Ness Monster Baby? She creeped me out so much. oooh. Really, Jacob? you couldn't think of ANYTHING better than NESSIE? If I was Bella, I'd've beaten his ass in general, not tried to hold myself back. Giving that baby such a horrible nickname. OOOOh, she's gonna hate him when she gets olderrrrr.
I just know that all the Twilight fans are gonna have a BALL with Bella's title of "The Shield." Really, Stephenie? You're just begging for her to get made fun of.
Also. I really, really, REALLY wanted there to be a gay imprinting. HOW FREAKING AWESOME would that have been? I don't mean that to be offensive, but JKR made Dumby gay, to open up the narrow minds of people all over the world. I think Stephenie Meyer could have done the same. But whatever.
And am I the only one who wanted Leah and that other half-vampire kid to get together? COME ON! Leah needs LOVE.
All in all, I was not disapointed. I wanted MORE SEX (because, like the trashy romance-loving girl that I am, I REALLY wanted some smut) and more naked Edward, but WHATEVER. Just the innuendos and the hinthintwinkwinknudgenudges gave me chills. I do realize, however, that with all of the young kids that read those books (hell, a lot of the kids at the party last night were like 10) that it was a touchy subject and I think SM wrote about it very tastefully.
Turns out, the Bella/Edward relationship is just not the same without all of the sexual tension. I mean, it was nice what with the broken headboards and bitten feather pillows (my legs LITERALLY went weak when he said that), but... it wasn't as angsty as I'm used to, what with Buffy and Angel and all.
I loved it. I don't care what anyone else says. I know that there are already people out there protesting the horribleness of this book and how it was a major disappointment like the last Indiana Jones (what with all the aliens, etc), but I don't care. There really wasn't any other way to make it work out.
And I like how neatly she tied up all the loose ends. It was a little predictable, but I liked that I wasn't confused about EVERYTHING like I was in Harry Potter.
In other news... Yes, I went to the party last night. Had a good time. It went by a HELL of a lot faster than the Harry Potter parties. God, those were RIDICULOUS. We played trivia and partied it up and ate cake just like everyone else. And then I came home, read till 6 AM, slept till 11, went shopping 'cause it's tax free weekend, then came home and read until I finished at like 8.
Not a whole lot else going on. I got switched up ANOTHER level in my French classes, so now I'm taking junior-level French -- the ONLY freshman in that class -- which freaks me the fuck out. And my roommate is apparently AWOL. Or avoiding me.
Andddd... my life is boring. Too much WORK. meh.
