SIGN UP FOR SUMMERGEN IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! >:D

TONIGHT is the last day of spn_summergen sign-ups! A challenge near and dear to my heart, as the second challenge I signed up for, ever in my SPN fandom life (fledgling, "I've been watching this show for four months" ambitious me signed up for the spn_j2_bigbang right out of the gate, LOL. A mistake), and the only challenge I've participated in every year I've been in fandom. Which means it will be my tenth Summergen--a milestone in itself. ♥ I'm not sure how many years I've modded... five, maybe? Well, whatever.

You know what, without fail, has happened every single year?

I sit down to haphazardly try to think of prompts, and the first thing that always comes to mind is Sam/Dean. I am a gen person by default, and the other 364 days of the year, I probably don't think about any pairings at all, but somehow being tasked with coming up with gen prompts always brings out the Wincest in me. I DON'T KNOW WHY but really, this is probably why I should think of prompts before the last day. I just--honestly. Why do I need to make things difficult for myself, even in instances where they should not at all be difficult.

But know, if you're like me and haven't signed up yet, it's not too late!

Join ussssssss...!!!!!

EDIT: WhooOOOoooo is excited about the prompts they submitted? Because HOO BOY I'M EXCITED ABOUT THE PROMPTS I SUBMITTED. I generally try to be open-ended in terms of what season things take place, and what characters are involved (50/50 prompts that are Sam and Dean specific, vs. prompts that could be taken up with any character), and do things that seem (to me at least) they'd be equally interesting to a writer or an artist. But at the end of the day, let's be real, I only ever want four things:

1) backcountry scenarios
2) hyper-regional/place-based nonsense
3) B-roll that probably involves having to move or dispose of bodies
4) overelaboration of minute worldbuilding/SPN universe details
