It's here...

December 1st.

It's the first day of this wintery month and it's 65 degrees outside. I can't gloat for long though, the oracle (aka weather.com) is predicting snow on Monday. All I can do is be thankful for however many more warm grey days we get in Northampton, especially as I read about the horrible storm in the midwest that caused almost 300 flights out of O'Hare to be cancelled. Sigh. I know what that is like.

Amazing things have been happening. There's the handsome man who likes me and also likes cooking and ballroom dancing and philosophy and chocolate peanut butter ice cream and snuggling and reading and talking..... There are my professors who I adore and who have been going out of their way to make me feel appreciated and special and excited about the future. There are my friends-- in Chapin, across campus, in Oregon-- who like me even when I am Too Much... too busy, too giddy, too cranky, too analytical, too obsessed with school.

And everything is getting wonderfully frantic as it always does. It feels good even as I worry about it.

Tonight is Chapin's Black and White cocktail party, our winter weekend tradition. Much fun will be had, although not as much as sophomore year when Eli attended as my handsome (although somewhat gimpy) date.

Less than 3 weeks until HOME.

Other amazing things that I'd like to rave about but instead will list-i-fy.
