November is flying by. It's incredible. Only 38 days until I go home!
I'm still getting used to my short hair. I really really love it and I'm working hard to figure out the perfect combination of product and "smooshing" needed to make it look good. So far there's been nothing but rave reviews.....
I'm looking forward to a few days in New York City again before Thanksgiving with my dad. The only downside is that I'm going to have my seminar paper hanging over my head the whole time... my 30 page draft is due Nov. 29th. At least the material I'm reading is very captivating, it's really a matter of not having enough time to do the in-depth research I'd like to do... so I just plow through as much as I can, feeling guilty all the while that I'm not being a true scholar..
I also have the pleasant distraction of a crush. Finally. It's not currently going anywhere at the moment, but I haven't felt like this for years, so I'm savoring it.
It's pretty obvious that I'm avoiding working on my seminar paper. I haven't gotten so bad as to start plucking my leg hairs, but I've written three letters already today and filled my calendar with as many lunch and dinner dates as possible. the more socializing I do the more productive I feel.
well. that was a post about nothing. it's amazing how with so much on my mind, I can't get any of it out... perhaps it's because I've been having such great conversations with my mom and rayna and gabby. and I wrote a couple of long letters today, so I feel relaxed and loved and support. all good things.
