Oh My God She's Updating Again!
Yes, tonight is Hobbit's first 11 o' Clocker, and I'm so done with dishes, so wouldn't you know it I'm just piddling away my precious time on the computer. Let's see...
Nerissa has a best friend! I'd been banging my head against the wall trying ot come up with ideas for extra income that would allow me to bring the Pumpkin along with me. So I went on sittercity.com and managed to arrange a babysitting gig for, get this, another adorable two year old who lives practically across the street! The parents are laid-back and have very similar parenting styles. So this little boy, oh, let's call him "Fam" because that's what Nerissa calls him (gotta keep working on those S's) just adores my daughter, and she does him. It's great. This is her first real friend! It's very exciting. (I mean, even if I wasn't getting paid we'd probably hang out together.)
We've also started the Morning Glories parent-and-tot program at the Waldorf School. Ok, it's a little bit cultish in the way the parents are encouraged to just join in singing and being horses and whatever. But it's such a pleasant environment, and this is as much about parent education as it is for her own.

We're just a few months away from paying off our credit card debt. Then another 75 years until our student loans are paid off and we'll be good!
