Okay, I grew up with Mr. Miyagi. The Next Karate Kid was probably one of my favorite films from chilhood. My sister's family visited today. They borrowed my Blockbuster video of the new version. So the nephews were like copying some moves. It was cute, just like I used to copy moves from the Hilary Swank film. I don't consider the Jaden Smith version a remake. It just share similar traits from the original and switching from Crane to Cobra. Of course, with Jackie Chan, the fighting scenes are fun to watch. I really did enjoy the new version. I am not counting on the sequels if there are any, though. I just generally think it is cool my nephew(s)'s generation has their own version of Mr. Miyagi.
