Fest Fics for the win!
I have posted my Not Prime Time - 3,000 words of a character I've never written before, and written in second person, just for a little more challenge. I'm pretty happy with it, though. More importantly, it's done and now I can focus on the other three fest fics on my to do list (Three!! What was I thinking!!).
But... I got my assignment for Rare Ship Swap and I love it! It's a pairing I've wanted to see explored since the moment I encountered it in canon. So it's an excuse to dive deep into canon again, and to see what I can do with these wonderful characters.
The Case Story fic is chugging along. I have to stop adding to the beginning and middle and write the damn ending! I hope, this weekend, to at least have a skeleton for the rest of it - dialogue that I can tie description to. It has to be posted in just over two weeks, and I need to give my incredibly helpful beta time to work with it.
As for the Het Big Bang... did I really sign up? I think I might mini-bang it for multiple ships (I can do that no probs) but I really should finish the damn HG/CM story and it will be a full on big bang, if I do that. This one I'll reassess after I get Case Story out of my hair.
And all this around the fact that RL involves too much work, vastly over due taxes, and job applications for after this contract. And I really should do the dishes, one of these days.
