I am surrounded by insanity.
I fished out some tests to check if my Nano characters are cliched. This meant that I actually needed to work on my characters. Jocelyn was already fairly well though out, but I now have more information about Nigel and Sparkle.
Nigel is a 1/2 chipmunk, 1/4 human, 1/8 orc and 1/8 elf (don't ask - there's a family tree). He lives on a farm with his parents, aunt, uncle, cousin and grandmother. He has a magical Bastard sword, which he is unable to lift and yet can store in his cheeks of holding (with no negative effect). He's also always seen eating oranges (and no-one knows where he gets them from).
Sparkle is the antagonist. I hesitate to call her the villain. She's a pink haired fairy. Her aim in life? To make the entire world vegetarian, technicolour and rated PG. Yes, she's insane. Apparently the censor gnomes are hired by her so ensure that everything remains PG. Trying to make everyone vegetarian has pissed off The Lord, who is a cat god. Hence his sarcastic angel is sent to help dispatch her.
WTF? How did I get these insane people in my head? On the plus side, I'm more enthusiastic about Nano now.
