Does anyone want to hazard a guess on who the boys are? I can guarantee that you've met both of them already.
There is a reason why one of the boy's name is Jack and it has nothing to do with this show. It's actually a tribute to a character from another show. And it's that character who will give you a bit of a clue on who this boy might be.
I was thinking the blond one was Vila till you mentioned Jack. And I thought, "Nooooo, not another Jack. Every series has a Jack these days. It's the nom du decade." But it's in homage, fair enough.
So we have a blond boy and a boy named Jack. Aagh I wish Jack wasn't such a common name, though if you mean it as a homage to Col. Jack O'Neill I'll let it ride.
By the way, I take it the heterozygous elements are considered essential to their society that would make him superior in their minds eye? It makes a change for Avon to be considered a bad influence.
We are getting shades of "Dark Angel" here.
Typo? “It looks like we didn’t removed him soon enough
Didn't realize Jack is such a common name in shows. It isn't a homage to O'Neil though. It's another character who is also wonderfully ambiguous on the outside but has great depth.
In terms of the heterozygous elements...some genes are detrimental if you carry two copies but they are advantageous if you only carry one. Like sickle cell anemia. Having two copies of the gene for that is not good. But having one copy of the gene confers resistance to malaria.
I do know what heterozygous advantage means, however unless they haven't eliminated the parasite that causes the disease it is doubtful whether the genetic engineers would include that particular gene as it does effect other genes and the structure of red blood cells.
If they've left in the gene there would have to be a reason to do so.

Go on, the persuasive one is Blake. :~)
(Or, one of them is Sester and his subconcious has recognised Avon. But he doesn't know it.)

I assume one's his brother.

Oh if it helps, the show I am referring to ended in 2006.
