And the results are in!!!
Yesterday I had my big anatomy scan done, where they look at EVERYTHING on the baby.
The nurse asked us if we wanted to know the gender and I said yes, so she went straight to the legs to look. Of course the baby had crossed legs so we couldn't see anything.. lucky for us, the baby was wiggling and moving around like crazy so a few minutes later we DID get a good shot of the baby...
YUP! He's a boy!! Both Matt and I are extremely excited and happy. I kept thinking during this whole pregnancy that I was having a girl though! LOL All the online baby predictions and old-wives tales, even the Chinese calendar, all pointed to girl. Well, looks likes all of that really is just "guessing" lol
The place we went to was really neat.. they have warmed up gel to put on my tummy, a screen infront of me as well as one next to me where the doctor/nurse looked at. So no matter where you sit in the room you can see the baby. They also were able to switch back and forth from 2D to 4D! That was so cool and Matt and I just were not expecting it at all!
We left the clinic with a CD of 40 pictures and 7 video clips, all provided by them! I also have to go back in 4 weeks (when I am 22weeks along) because the baby was moving too much to get good images of the heart chambers and valves. The doctor said they will just do the whole scan over again which is fine by me! That is MORE pictures of my baby boy!!!
