New chapter already done

Ever since finding out those things about a family member of mine I’ve been feeling unwell, sick and too disturbed to focus on my work for university. Of course that means I’ll be royally screwed by the end of next week. But on the upside I tried to cheer myself up with writing and chapter 13 is now finished. It’s with my betas at the moment. I’ll post once I get it back

It ended up a bit on the fluffy side, apparently I write fluff when I’m feeling down. I even bumped the non-fluff part which was supposed to be at the end of the chapter to chapter 14. But I guess, Hermione and Fred deserve the break and it makes more sense story-wise anyways.

I’m slightly anxious to see the reviews to the new chapter (I’m turning into quite the review-whore) since I had to invent a whole new place and that necessarily involves a lot of descriptions. As I already mentioned that’s not exactly my strong suit. I also had to come up with a ton of names for everything. Luckily alliteration has always been the one stylistic device I could identify, name and use (never could remember all the others). Therefore, I’ve been using it to abundance.

I’ve also started making Hermione’s and Fred’s wedding picture (which will be in chapter 15). Originally I just wanted to make a banner for MM, but I didn’t like at all how that turned out. So I’m doing a manip instead. Hopefully George won’t forget the camera (meaning I won’t fail to stick on Fred’s head correctly, which is proving to be quite difficult). I’ll post the picture with the corresponding chapter.

Also, I made a few Draco/Hermione icons which I posted at
dramione. Got myself a new one too (see this post).

Sign-ups for the
weasley_fest conclude today, meaning assignments will be handed out next week. I’m looking forward to that, although I won’t be able to start writing before March 11th.

I’m off making myself some chicken soup and tea now. That’s supposed to help…
