Arthur lay flat on his back, blinking up into the sun and trying to figure out how he had come to be on the ground. He had been sparring with Merlin, and his idiotic manservant had managed to trip over his own feet while attempting to block one of Arthur’s blows.
Arthur had tried to dodge his servant’s flailing limps, but there had been no escape.
He was still trying to catch his breath when a figure came to stand over him, blocking out the sun.
“I’m really sorry I knocked you out… sire.”
“You are a terrible liar, Merlin.”
