Oh you guys
I work for an awesome company. I mean, really, this is a rare thing. Recently a coworker from another office, halfway across the country, who most of us have never met, had an accident. He's in serious condition, in the hospital, outcome uncertain. The company sold off "casual day" stickers for donations, buying the right to wear casual clothes for a day, and this little company of about 200 people managed to raise almost five grand for the family of this guy(who works in the mailroom) who most of us don't know. And then the company matched the amount to give nearly ten grand to this guy's wife and kids.
Just over the past few days they did this. This is the kind of thing that makes me think people can be good to each other, on rare occasion. ♥ ♥ ♥
