I actually got out of the house today (this is something of an event for me; since the hubby left for his school in January, I have filled the gas tank of our family vehicle exactly once, and it is still over half a tank. Bear in mind it's an SUV that averages 17 miles to the gallon) and got bunches of stuff done. Picked up grass seed from the housing office, got sandals for the girls, a sprinkler for the hopefully soon-to-be-yard, and I even got the film that's been in our camera forever developed. Since we got the digital camera, we hardly ever use the old film one, but I finished off the roll and now, pictures! Yay!

In honor of the upcoming Easter holiday...

This was a rare moment of them playing nicely together. My older girl loves to color and the baby is picking it up as well, although the trick is to get her to color on the paper and not everything else.

Our front walk when we lived in Hawaii. It was funny to watch the baby play with that ball, because it was so big she'd try to pick it up and fall over.

Of course, it's not always cute stuff.

She was just over a year old, and had already mastered the childproof cabinet lock and the skill of stealth mess making. Of course, she did have the advantage of advanced training from her older sister, who still holds title as the mess champ.

The girls decided to help me with the laundry.

This is the kidlet's idea of making pancakes. She very carefully measured a scoop of dry pancake mix onto the griddle. I'm just lucky she didn't turn the burner on.

As further proof of their expertise, as I was writing this they managed to put a roll of toilet paper in the sink, completely soak it, clog the sink with sodden wads of toilet paper, and cause it to overflow onto the floor. They're that damn good.

Ah, sleepy baby. All that havoc wreaking must be tiring.
