So here I was, pottering along my flist, and I came upon some tremendously clever person who had posted a little rant about fanfic and the simple things it sometimes lacks. And I cracked up a great deal, and giggled madly, and then asked this tremendously clever person if I could share their rant with everyone else and they said yes, so here it is.
