*happily denying all the fun I'm missing*
well I *was* going to write this up waiting for WoW update to download (that is, if it does in fact work on this pc)
HOWEVER. I am still downloading skype... its been going about half an hour now and its 62% of 7.3mb, this does not bode well for monstrous update later...
I am tired, I got woken up at 5am uk time and dragged into the sun where it is *hot*. My skin has now regressed back to Tourist Status and I managed to sunburn my feet :( A funny thing happened though:
At the beach (lady's mile, or lady smile, or perhaps lady's miles as its 3miles long) they have "swimming areas" and "boat corridors"... fairly self explanatory, swimmers only in the swimming areas, anything else uses the boat corridor. designated boat corridor is about 15 metres across... bearing in mind this is for boats (allllll the boats) to stay moored, be launched and to get to/from sea. not much space. (i have a feeling this is going nowhere. i found it amusing but its complicated. damn windsurfing)
Right, activites day, my dad was teaching a woman how to windsurf but she got stuck out and had to be rescued by jetski while my dad sailed the kit in. sailing dead upwind takes time, and lots of space ie more than 15m... Because the police here are so useless/bored/looking for trouble in the wrong places, they decide to, erm, apprehend my dad for his wholly Unsafe and Obstructing the Course of Justice (apparently) action. There were 2 police cars and 4 policemen on the beach making a scene, also a boat with SIX military guys from the air forces base were following him around too. my dad=short temper, normally probably would have backed down but this was ridiculous seeing as he'd been rescuing someone... main guy on the boat gets shouty so my dad replied "Why don't you go shoot some terrorists? Or go run over another tourist like you did 3 months ago..." Heh. Cue hassle.
too much sun. that was probably incredibly boring but was fun to watch, these 4 policemen hanging around on the beach, stumped at 10feet of sea water. how far is beyond the call of duty?
I don't fit into any of my clothes, pointed out i'd had the same boardies for 6+ years and will hopefully be getting new ones and going to M&S sale which is exciting (they always have different stuff here) yay shopping!
Skype is now done so I'd better sort it.
Ohh and btw I'm in cyprus now. Hope ben is looking after my garden *hints*

Ooooh and having a pool rocks! Cue diving in whenever its too hot/you feel rubbish/need to wake up. Must get a floatable to read book.
Oooh and started a new book: The Loop by... (bollocks forgot his name, the guy who wrote the Horse Whisperer... this ones nothing to do with horses, all about wolves, very good so far)
