Spurred on by the resurgence in popularity of one of my fave ships ever of the slashy variety; Erik and Charles who else. ( and of course to all those who say nay, I treasure their bond above all or anything else), I started thinking about other slashy pairings of from TV and comic book land that have endured; worse for wear but are still undeniably going strong and I only have a few.
Wherein the ever-changing PTB haven't royally fucked it up and actually kinda ship it unofficially/officially in some cases and were allowed to ride off into the sunset or be that dysfunctional duo you love while you draw your own conclusions:
I have tons more I have fallen in love with over the years but they got destroyed/wrecked like many of my het pairings.
**mourns the loss of Rogue/Gambit and Wolverine/Storm or Storm/Nightcrawler, John/Teyla potential, Kate/Sayid & Shannon/Sayid, etc….***
Het tentatively ongoing not as yet destroyed by the TPB; keeps fingers-crossed
* almost every established ship on Vampire diaries, I am a season behind so no spoilers please.
*Peter and Olivia - Fringe; also a season behind so no spoilers please
*Beckett/Castle - saw some spoilers for season three. We shall see but this one might be rocky….
**Kensi and deeks; gods I love these two in every way possible.:)
*Helen and John on Sanctuary
* Amy and Rory on doctor who
*Luther and Alice
*Nikita and Michael
I will leave you with some Mark Sheppard goodness, I believe their is some funny business going on behind the scenes with a certain show but I don't want to get into it. Besides, Mark's message is awesome and needs to be seen everywhere

( and of course to all those who say nay, I treasure their bond above all or anything else), I started thinking about other slashy pairings of from TV and comic book land that have endured; worse for wear but are still undeniably going strong and I only have a few.

- Superman and Batman ( I ship them with Wonder Woman, Lois and Catwoman and it all works in various permutations; these two are golden)
- Their married counterparts Midnighter and Apollo ('nough said)
- Erik and Charles - Whether you are reading the comics, watching the TV series or movie-verse; that bond and history has always been respected.
- Sam and G from NCIS LA (tentative) - they have a lot going for them and if Shane's plays it right, he did promise he felt after two years of set-up he can now play around with the relationship so I am taking a wait and see approach for season three. I feel in my gut season three will be the make it or break it season but with Shane officially at the helm, I feel more secure about this dynamic playing out well and for a long time.:)
- I need to re-watch Starsky and Hutch but I feel they belong here too.
