Now that I am confined to my bed I have only my books and the internet to entertain me, which is actually pretty ok except I miss being outside... I want to be a part of this thing called spring and enjoy it but I can't, anyway.....
Really loving Tumblr and instagram pics and tweets from the NCIS LA crew and cast, so adorable.
Apparently the tweeter community for NCIS LA is mostly young women or girls under the age of 19 so not much for me to work with.
I am huge Kensi and Deeks fan; and the Densi posts ad-nauseaum are aggravating as are the rabid Kensi and Callen fans who insist Callen is a miserable character because he doesnt have a woman in his life. Dear goodness, someone teach these girls there is more to life than being a perfect woman for some man when they grow up. Also Callen is having way too much fun with Sam and his team to be miserable.:)
But the gif and pics are extremely amusing.
As always Misha tweets are fun and insane; and Jared P all over Sebastien Roche will never get old. JP has such good taste.:)
Caught up on NCIS LA and I have decided to back away further from fandom; Shane B as well as the cast have no intention of allowing Kensi and Deeks to become Tiva and I suspect fandom will get nasty over the spring- summer break. Every show I love has a pattern when it comes to rabid shippers or slashers:
New pairing is introduced or they latch on to a pair that really has nothing behind it.
They bombard all blogs and major mags with questions about their pairing.
They insist that the shows success depends on how quickly the ship becomes canon.
They stick around regardless, bemoaning how good the show used to be when their pairing could have been together.
I do not understand how people can put so much energy, and a lot of its negative at that, into fictional characters. If they aren't bringing you joy, why bother at all and furthermore; why would want something you enjoy to end so quickly. Once it happens there is no where to go, as Daniela Ruah pointed out so they have to be careful. And there is so much more that makes a show worthwhile than people getting together. But I guess its a sad reflection about society; the importance we put on people getting married the procreating, which while that has been a wonderful experience for many, is not for all. And I think more people would be happier if they stop living through fictional characters and trying to find that happiness in their own lives.
thinky thoughts,
