Patricia Briggs Appreciation Long Time Coming
I know there is a lovely person on my f-list who recommended her Mercy Thompson series and it has taken me so long to finally get to them, and they are so good.
I fell out of love pretty quickly with the Sookie books, the writing seemed to decrease in quality after a short while and the entire genre of vamps/weres tends to be mediocre but Patricia has got it right. A female lead I can relate to, wonderfully written supporting characters and the relationships are actually realistic and hot without any of the shitty alpha male bull-shit I encounter with romance novels.
So, big thank you to who recommended her to me and of course to Patricia for writing these fantastic books.:)
