How do you take a story about a wild boy having crazy adventures with no adult supervision then growing up to be the strongest man in any world and turn it into a teenager in high school harassed by a white guy and who, instead of turning into a giant stompy weremonkey under a full moon, turns into that?
I mean. I expect something this kitschy and nichey to get stuck in Development HFIL (you see what I did there? ha.), I expect it to have some truly terrible acting and possibly horrendous dialogue, I expect it to fail utterly and never really get released. (And even then, if it did, I'd still probably end up seeing it.)
I honestly can't say I expected what's actually happening.
